Diving Centre Turtle Bay
Turtle Bay Beach Club is located adjacent to one of the most unspoilt underwater reserves in the world: Watamu National Marine Park, the first to be set up not only in Kenya but the first in Africa. As fishing is not allowed within the park, it has become a safe haven and breeding ground for numerous species of fish. On the other side of the reef within the park reserves it is not unusual to encounter Manta Rays, Whale-Sharks, Dolphins and Turtles. Enriched Air Diving
It’s one of those beautiful holiday dives you’ll never forget: The water is warm and clear, it’s sunny and the dive is stunning. It’s your second dive and you’ve be down about 30 minutes and, glancing at your enriched air dive computer and SPG, you realize you’ve got another half hour easy. You wink knowingly at your buddy.
This is great!
As you glide across the reef, you spot other divers. They check their computers, give each other the “thumbs up” and begin safe ascent.
“Already…???“ you ask yourself. Then you see why. They’re diving air,not enriched air nitrox like you and your buddy.
Enriched air nitrox is the latest tool in our efforts to stay underwater. Especially in the 18 to 30 metre range, enriched air nitrox gives you more of what you got into diving for – time underwater. Enriched air does this by replacing some of the nitrogen in the air with oxygen. This means you absorb less nitrogen during a dive, wich gives you longer no decompression limits – and Not just a little…!!!
As a enriched air diver, you’ll be blowing bubbles underwater instead of watching them come up…
